Purpose of the role
Enabling sales of Oriflame products by creating innovative communication angles, concepts and claims for new and ongoing products. Investigating and presenting scientific evidence to support product claims in a novel and creative manner within the timeframes of NPD. Enabling registration of products in Oriflame markets by ensuring the strongest possible claims are appropriately supported.
Your responsibility
As a Scientific Communication Scientist you will:
- Manage the claims substantiation aspect of assigned NPD projects and deliver the agreed requirements of the brief to ensure timely delivery of NPD.
- Suggest appropriate ingredients, including story, functional and active, to deliver product claims and story.
- Review and approve new catalogue texts and layouts
- Analyse the claims direction in product brief and propose novel and creative wording and substantiation of claims
- Expert knowledge on the effects of cosmetic products and actives on the skin and hair
- Link with Product Marketing
- Support Scientific Communication Initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline
- Experience in cosmetic business
- Extensive knowledge in the usage and benefits of cosmetic ingredients
- Proven track record for success in a fast paced NPD environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Innovative lateral thinker with proven ability to generate creative solutions
